Also, we wanted to let everyone know that there will be a change this year in terms of programs and how they will be dispersed at sporting events. As many schools are starting to do, our programs will now be available digitally. Attached to this post is a QR Code that you can scan with your phone. It will take you to the program for tonight's game against Valley Heights, and the code will not change throughout the year. The program will be update before each game, and viewable through that code, which will be posted before each game.
The QR code simply takes you to a page on our district website where the program is put together by students in Mrs. Cromer's digital media class. If you go to the website (usd322.org) and got to the athletics tab, you'll find "HS Program" and "JH Program." These pages are where the program will be before each home event.
In addition to those digital programs, you'll be able to print a PDF version of the program as well if you'd like a physical copy to save. These PDF versions can be found on each sport's page on the district website as well. For tonight's football game, for instance, if you visit the high school football team's page on the district website and scroll down to the game against Valley Heights, a link to a printable version of the program is right below it.
We understand that this will be a change for many so, for tonight's game only, we have printed physical copies of the program to hand out at the game. But for all of the home games that will follow, the digital version will be what is available. This will also be the case at many of Onaga's away games as the number of schools moving to a digital version of programs continues to grow. The QR codes for the programs will also be posted around the football complex and gymnasiums for a quick scan of the phone.
Please let us know if you have any questions on how to access the programs. Below are links to the pages mentioned on the school website:

Mrs. Glessner's 5th and 6th grade students were getting hands-on in the classroom right out of the gate this year, spending the first days of school making their own journals in English class. They enjoyed spreading the glue on the cereal boxes with their fingers, and then gluing on fabric for a personalized cover. They will write weekly in their journals to improve their writing skills.
Thanks for always coming up with great ideas for your students Mrs. Glessner!
