Spring sports pictures are going to be this Monday afternoon, the first day back from Spring Break. Here is the times scheduled for each group:
1:20 - JR's dismiss for Senior Banner pictures
1:50 - JH track dismiss for pictures
2:20 - Baseball dismiss for pictures
2:30 - Softball dismiss for pictures
3:00 - Baseball and Softball dismiss for game
3:30 - HS Track and HS Golf dismiss for pictures
Please make sure to bring your uniforms for sports pictures. For senior banner pictures, those will be for next year's seniors. They are welcome to wear the jersey of the sport they play of their choice. For non-athletes, we ask that they wear an Onaga shirt.

Reminder, tonight is the baseball and softball teams' alumni scrimmage. Come out and play if you'd like, or just come out and enjoy your first look at this year's teams. Both games will be starting at 6:00pm on their respective fields, and each team will play one game. The parents will be putting on a fundraiser meal to benefit both programs and will be serving out of the Lions Club/Booster Club stand next to the softball field. After the games, each team will put on a homerun derby on the softball field with prizes for the athletes.
Please note, due to the weather the fair board has been unable to de-winterize the bathrooms at the field. Though they hope that will be able to happen soon, we will have portable facilities at the field next week when games begin. However, those won't be delivered until next week, so please keep that in mind as you attend this evening.
We hope to see you all out at the fields this evening for the first look at the 2025 baseball and softball teams, join us for supper put on by the parents, and stick around for the home run derby afterwards!

With the conclusion of the state basketball tournaments over the weekend, the Twin Valley League has announced it's 2024-2025 All-League basketball teams and two Buffaloes find themselves on it.
With his first All-League designation for basketball, senior Jackson Kolterman has now earned All-League honors in all three sports he plays after being named to the football team as a junior and senior, and the baseball team his freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons. A do-it-all player for Onaga this season, his 11.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game were both second on the team, while his 1.4 steals were tops this season and his 1.8 assists were third. He also led the team in three point field goals this year.
Joining Jackson on the 2nd Team is Casen Hutfles, who also earned his first All-League designation. The sophomore nearly averaged a double-double this season, leading the team in both points with 12.3 a game, and rebounds with 9.8. His rebound numbers are the most by a Buffalo since Tanner Marten averaged 12.9 per game in 2017-2018. He finished as the team's leader in blocked shots with 1.1, also the most since Marten's senior year average of 8.0 per game, and finished second on the team in field goal percentage.
Congratulations to both Jackson and Casen on great seasons, and congratulations on earning All-League honors! GO BUFFALOES!!!

This Thursday, March 20th, the high school baseball and softball teams will be hosting a "Gatorade Scrimmage." Both teams will be taking on alumni at 6:00pm on their respective fields, and will follow up their games with a home run derby on the softball field.
Like the old Pop, Syrup, and Soap scrimmage from years past in different sports, the "entry fee" for the game will be items the teams can use throughout the season. Everyone is welcome to attend, but those willing are asked to bring Gatorade, granola bars, or fruit snacks that the teams will use between games this year. Also, during the scrimmages, the parents will be putting on a meal to benefit the teams as well. They will serve the meal out of the Lion's Club stand located next to the softball field.
If you are interested in playing for the alumni teams for either game, please contact Coach Kufahl (785-313-1280) for baseball and Coach VanDonge (785-458-2393) for softball. The baseball team is still looking for a player or two, and the softball team needs several.
So Thursday night, come out play or just come out and get your first look at this year's Buffalo baseball and softball teams!

🌟 Exciting News from Our 4th Graders! 🌟
Our incredible 4th-grade students are diving into the world of Health Science through the Classroom to Career program! 🩺💉🧠 Recently, we had the amazing opportunity to welcome Sheila and Kelsey, surgical nurses from CHCSKS, who shared their expertise with our students. They demonstrated what they do before, during, and after surgery, giving our students a real-life look into the healthcare field. 👩⚕️💉
The fun didn’t stop there—Rex the Dog was the pretend patient for the class during the demonstration, and everyone had a chance to learn in an interactive and engaging way! 🐾✂️
To wrap up, Sheila and Kelsey read a children's book about surgery, filled with important tips to help young ones understand the process. 📚✨
We’re so proud of our young learners for their curiosity, teamwork, and enthusiasm as they explore the world of Health Science!
Keep up the great work, future doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals! 🌱🌟
