These Algebra 2 students in Mrs. Kocher's class have become very creative in how to get their juices flowing when worn out at the end of the day. Earlier this year they incorporated "Algebra Aerobics" to help them focus on the task at hand, learning new math concepts. A great way to refocus and stay on task! (Notice the last picture where the girls did a great job spelling "Onaga")

Tuesday night was senior night for the high school volleyball team, and it also took place during Officials Appreciation Week. Before the girls' last game, the seniors and their parents were recognized, then the eight officials that were working the games that night were also recognized. Then the players from Onaga, Axtell, Blue Valley, and Troy joined them for a picture.
Officiating numbers throughout the country are dropping at an alarming rate. They make countless sacrifices and spend their evenings travelling around the state to make sure that our student-athletes have the opportunity to play the games that they love. Games around the country, and even in Kansas, are being cancelled due to the lack of officials. So next time you attend an event where there are officials, stop and say thanks for all they do. Enjoy the game. Officials are making a big difference in the lives of our youth, and they aren't thanked enough for giving up time in their own lives and with their families to make ours and our students' better.

The junior high volleyball and football teams are winding down their seasons and will play their final non-league contests of the year tonight when they head to Randolph for tilts against the Rams. The volleyball will kick things off at 5:00pm, while the football team will be looking for its third straight win and fourth in their last five games when it kicks off at 6:30pm.
Good luck to both teams! GO BUFFALOES!!!

USD 322: Families,
Kansas Gas and Hood Plumbing-Electric-Gas have been onsite all afternoon making the necessary repairs and thoroughly checking the facility including all gas applicances. Early this evening, we were given the all-clear for normal session to resume tomorrow.
In addition to the servicemen working so diligently on our facilities, I want to personally thank our staff for pulling together on such short notice to feed and dismiss our students in such a collaborative and orderly fashion. Not only were staff stepping in to assist where needed, high school students also assisted with serving elementary meals and helping elementary students through dismissal processes. I am so proud of the generosity shown, the calmness demonstrated, and the leadership of all involved to organize such a prompt departure.
We truly appreciate the flexibility of our families and community when the unforeseen arises. We look forward to seeing everyone again in the morning!
With greatest appreciation,
-Trevor W. Ashcraft
USD 322 Superintendent

Due to the gas line issue at the school today, the junior high volleyball triangular that was scheduled for today at 4:00pm in Onaga has been canceled. The games will not be made up.

USD 322: Families, out of precaution, we will be sending students home starting at 12:30. We discovered a gas smell outside and immediately notified Kansas Gas. Kansas Gas has assured us that since it is small, above ground, and outside the building, all students and staff are safe. Due to the need to shut of the gas for repairs and the extensive checks following, we will send all students and staff home starting at 12:30 to allow them repairmen space to work. Buses will run at 12:30. If you would like to pick-up your student, please do so SOUTH of the building. Please avoid the bus lane.

It's homecoming week at USD 322! Here are the scheduled events planned for the week!
