The high school football team begins league play tonight as it heads on the road to take on Valley Heights. The two teams will kickoff at 7:00pm at the football field, which is located behind the school. After a day off, Buffalo athletics is back in gear with both middle school and high school events scheduled today. The cross country team will get things rolling this afternoon, as they head to Washington for their second meet of the season. The girls will start running at 4:30pm this afternoon and the boys will follow. Meanwhile, back in Onaga, the junior high teams will be playing host to Troy. The volleyball team gets started in the north gym at 5:00pm, and the football team will cap off the night at 6:30pm at the Rosenfield Sports Complex.

The Buffaloes will be welcoming TVL foes Centralia, Linn, and Valley Heights to town tonight with JV games beginning at 3:45pm and varsity action at 5:00pm. The JV squad will kick things off with a 4:00pm first serve against Clifton-Clyde, then the varsity will play its first game at 6:00pm against the Eagles. Your chance to see the volleyball, football, and cross country teams in action at Onaga for the first time this season comes tonight as we gear up for the Buff Bash scrimmages. The volleyball team will get things rolling at 5:00pm in the north gym as they take on the alumni. Then, at 6:30pm, the football team will get rolling at the Rosenfield Sports Complex while the cross country team does their event on the track.
Come out tonight to see the teams in their final tune-ups before competition begins this week. The volleyball team will start their season tomorrow at Centralia, the cross country team will run in its first meet on Thursday at Mission Valley, and the football team kicks off their season on Friday against McLouth.

The high school football team is in action tonight for the first time this season as it gears up for its annual jamboree. Council Grove will not be able to play tonight, which means several changes have been made:
- The jamboree will now be played in Wabaunsee.
- It will only feature the Chargers, Hillsboro, and Onaga
- The game time has been pushed back to 7:00pm.

JAMBOREE CHANGE
Due to late, unavoidable schedule conflicts, the Jamboree participants have changed. The game will now be held at Alma-Wabaunsee. The game will begin at 7pm.
Reminder, school pictures and fall sports pictures will be taken tomorrow, August 23rd! School pictures will take place throughout the school day, while sports pictures will begin 5th block for middle school and after school for the high school teams.
