It's another sweep for the Buffaloes! The boys and girls both pulled off the two-game sweep over Valley Heights tonight, improving both teams' record to 9-3 on the season. They are next in action on Friday with another league matchup on the docket, as the girls host Troy and the boys go to Troy. Both double-headers begin at 4:30pm.

The baseball and softball teams return to action tonight for the first time in a week, as they get set to host Valley Heights this afternoon for the first time ever in either sport. First pitch is set for 4:30pm for both, and they will each play a double-header. KNZA will also be on hand to broadcast the first game of the baseball double-header, so tune in on your radio dial or follow the link below to listen to the game.

On Saturday, sophomore Lillie Weiser traveled to Benedictine College in Atchison to compete in the KSHSAA Regional music festival. It wound up being a successful day for Lillie, as she scored a "I" rating on her alto-saxophone solo. That qualified Lillie to compete at the state competition, which will take place on April 27th at Hesston College.
Congratulations Lillie, and good luck at the state competition!

It's another eventful week coming up, here's what is on the schedule!

The high school forensics team went to a meet in Washington on Friday and it was a successful day! Freshman Adalei Conley placed 5th in her Impromptu. She joined sophomore Lillie Weiser for Improvised Duet Acting and the two placed 3rd. Junior
Wyatt Boggs and sophomore Brayden Poell also competed in the Improvised Duet Acting and placed 2nd. With that 2nd place finish, Wyatt and Brayden qualified to attend and participate at the State Forensics Festival on May 4th!
Congratulations to the forensics team and their coach, Hannah Kolterman! And good luck to Wyatt and Brayden at the state meet!

Just to clarify, as there has been some questions, the JV golf meet today in Washington has not been cancelled altogether. Onaga is not attending due to a coaching conflict on our end.

5:00pm - Prom Walk in the north gym
7:00pm - Prom begins at community center
11:30pm - After Prom begins in gyms and commons. No students will be allowed to enter after 11:30pm.
2:00am - After Prom ends

Congratulations to Landon Koelling! The senior wrestler has committed to Barton County Community College to continue his education and wrestling career.
Landon finished his senior season with a 33-8 overall record and finished 5th at the state meet in Salina. He had a successful career that saw him make the state tournament three times, accumulating a 92-22 career record along the way.
Good luck at Barton Landon, we know you'll do great things!

It's an eventful afternoon for Onaga athletics, with three different teams participating in events. The junior high track team is the first one up, as they get set to host their invitational this afternoon. Field events get rolling at 1:00pm.
Also competing in Onaga is the golf team, who will be participating in the Frankfort Invitational this afternoon at Cool Springs in Onaga. They will tee off at 2:00pm. The only team on the road today is the high school track team, as they head to Seneca for the Nemaha Valley Invitational. Field events there start at 4:00pm.

Tomorrow afternoon, the student body will be heading outside to watch the eclipse. As a reminder, all high school students are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and/or blanket as we will be in the grass.

Four students from OHS traveled to Centralia on April 3rd to compete in the league forensics meet. Every student showed improvement in their events and came really close to making finals. These students have one more meet in Washington, and then regionals will be on April 20th.
