On the last day of BFC for the school year portion of the program, the students wanted to play a game of kickball with the baseball team at the field. Unfortunately, weather forced the team inside for practice, but they decided to take on the grade schoolers in the gym.
It was an intense game, a back-and-forth battle of amazing kickballs skills, but in the end it was the younger BFC students who came out on top and got the win. To celebrate, they chased senior Hunter Lamond around the gym (see photos), and they won that battle as well!
It was a great time, the BFC kids loved it, and it showed how great of role models our older students are for our younger Buffaloes!

Baseball and softball have had their games pushed to tomorrow due to the weather, but the rain has held off enough for the track teams to continue their days as scheduled.
The junior high team is competing for the final time this season today, as they host the Oregon Trail League meet at the Rosenfield Sports Complex this afternoon. Field events begin at 1:00pm. The high school team is on the road today, as they head to Valley Heights for the final varsity meet of the season before postseason events begin. They will have field events beginning at 3:00pm.
Good luck to the track teams today! GO BUFFALOES!!!

On Tuesday, Evergy came to the school to do a "Live High Voltage Electrical Presentation." The presentation was to teach students about the hazards associated with electricity. The crew on hand put on several demonstrations and discussed topics like laws about electricity, how electricity can be harmful to people, and what to do to prevent electricity-related injuries.

In the late 70's/early 80's, an outdoor classroom was established in honor of long-serving Ag Teacher, Leonard R. Ottman. This past year, funds donated through the Caring Community Foundation allowed for the revitalization and expansion of the outdoor classroom in honor of long-serving science teacher, Anne Suther, as a dual-honorary space.
Please join us on May 3rd from 4-6pm to experience the newly renovated Outdoor Classroom and Wildlife Trail behind the district office.

It's senior night in Onaga for the softball team, as they get set to host Blue Valley in the first ever matchup between the two programs and the last home game of the year for the Buffalo girls. The two teams are getting ready to start their double-header at 4:30pm, and we will honor the three senior girls and their parents in between games.
Good luck tonight ladies, and thank you to the senior girls and their parents for their time and impact given to Onaga softball. GO BUFFALOES!!!

Congratulations to Konnor Nider! Last week the senior golfer signed his Letter of Intent with Barton County Community Collge in Great Bend. Konnor will attend school there in the fall and will be on the Cougar golf team in the spring. He is currently in the middle of a senior season that has been a successful one. He finished 1st at the Frankfort Invitational to help lead his team to one of the best overall scores in school history. He is a two-time state qualifier and looks to get back to Hesston this season.
Good luck to you Konnor at Barton County! GO BUFFALOES!!!
