It was a clean sweep tonight for the Buffalo baseball and softball teams at ACCHS to wrap up each team's regular season. They are back in action on Thursday when they begin regional play as the #2 seed. They'll host #7 seed Blue Valley following the Frankfort/Centralia vs. Valley Heights game which begins at 4:30pm in Onaga.
Meanwhile, the girls wrapped up a 16-4 campaign with their wins tonight. With the new regional format in baseball this year, the first round is beginning in two days. That has raised concerns throughout the state on how to handle games that were already scheduled for this week as it pertains to pitching availability, due to KSHSAA's pitch count rules.
With that in mind, tonight's baseball games at ACCHS have been slightly adjusted. The first game of the double-header will be a varsity game as planned. The second game, however, has been changed to a 5-inning JV game with a per-inning run rule to make sure that pitch counts don't get out of hand. After the varsity game at 4:30pm, ACCHS will have their senior night festivities, then the two teams will play the JV game.

- Onaga vs. Blue Valley (30 minutes after first game)
Concessions will be available and admission fees will be required for this game, with adult tickets being $8 and K-12 students $6.

JV Track 5/6 postponed to 5/7...senior athletes will be recognized at the event.
