The Onaga Buffalo fans, Spirit Squad, and Booster Club will have candy at the football game tonight in Beloit for those kids that will not be able to trick or treat. So wear your costume! Thanks you to all!! And of course, GOOD LUCK BUFFS!!!!

If your child sold trash bags, the orders are available for pick up in Mrs. Rempe's room at the Grade School.

Help us “FILL THE TRUNK” during Trunk or Treat which will be taking place on Halloween on the OneWay Street in Onaga. Please bring a non-perishable food item to help keep our school food pantry full! There is no Buffalo Fun Club after school tomorrow, Oct. 31 Halloween.

All USD 322 Board of Education members are 100% in support of the bond issue for the new elementary school. Board of education members are Jeff Koelzer (President), Jessica Venneberg (Vice-President), Scott Brunkow, Mark Kopp, Tracy Meyerkorth, Marcus Weiser, and Tasha Lara. The board started the process of evaluating the state of the current elementary school in February of 2017 by having engineers conduct a facilities study. Results of the study found that it was not cost effective to attempt to repair the structural and mechanical issues with the current building. Other recent actions the Board of Education have unanimously passed are: Approval of the updated BBN Architects timeline – August, 2018; Approval of the BBN Architects project concepts refinement and referendum – November, 2018;
Approval of Piper Jaffray for Bond Council – March, 2019.

On October 28, the Kansas State Assessments recognition was held in the auditorium. Students from Grades 3 through 11 were recognized for high individual scores in the assessments. We congratulate those who did well on the assessments.

The TLIM Leadership Team led the first high school team building exercises on 10/8/19. This is a new way to help students learn to work better together. Here are some photos of the freshmen making sandwiches blindfolded.

Our students and staff accomplished a tremendous amount within our entire district yesterday during our Leader in Me Community Service Day. Engaging in community service provides students with the opportunity to become active members of their community and has a lasting, positive impact on society at large. Community service enables students to acquire life skills and knowledge, as well as provide a service to those who need it most. These are some of the common benefits of participating in a community service program:
1. Psychological benefits: Volunteering increases overall life satisfaction and helps you feel good about yourself because you are helping others. It can also help to decreases stress and ease depression.
2. Social benefits: Volunteering engages students with the community, creates special bonds with the population being served, and increases social awareness and responsibility.
3. Cognitive benefits: Volunteering helps students enhance their personal knowledge, grow from new experiences, and develop better interpersonal communication skills. It also helps students develop civic and social responsibility skills and become more aware of what their community needs.
Check out many of our pictures from yesterday's activities.
