
Onaga Junior High students need to sign up to work the High School basketball concessions for tomorrow night, 12/17/19. Shifts are 4:00-6:30, 6:30-8:30, Or 8:30-closeing. They can sign up with Mrs. Suther first thing in the morning.

Due to the weather, Onaga Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, December 16th. All activities will be rescheduled.

Due to the weather open gym for Onaga High and Jr. High School is cancelled today Sunday, December 15, 2019.

OHS Basketball is at Home on Tuesday, December 17 hosting Centralia. Order of games is as follows:
5:00 pm 1/2 B-Girls followed by Varsity Girls then Varsity Boys (North Gym)
5:00 pm B-Boys followed by C-boys (South Gym)

The OHS BB Game @ Hanover has been moved to Thursday, December 19.
Game order is as follows:
4:00 pm 1/2 JV Girls
4:30 pm Full JV Boys
6:00 pm Varsity Girls followed by Varsity Boys
All games will be played at the High School.

The Onaga High School basketball teams came out and played hard but lost to Washington County Tigers Tuesday night. The teams continue to play hard.



Want to see some intense wrestling this Saturday? OHS is hosting the annual Onaga Classic Wrestling Invitational this Saturday from 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Come to the high school to see 14 teams and over 100 wrestlers show their mad wrestling skills. Support your Onaga Buffaloes!


12.7.19 OHS Wrestling’s first meet in Lincoln, KS. They performed well bringing home medals in first, second, and third place with three others placing fourth and fifth. Congratulations to the OHS Wrestling team for their hard work and dedication!

The Onaga Buffaloes and Lady Buffaloes high school basketball teams had their first game at the Blue Valley Invitational last Thursday, December 5. Both teams lost, but played well and tried their best. The next game is Tuesday, December 10 at Washington County High.

The last day for Buffalo Fun Club afterschool will be Dec. 18.

Eight unique buffalo trophies, designed by Mr. Goudy, will be awarded at the December 7, 2019 chess tournament held in the South Gym of Onaga High School. Please join us to watch 12 teams from across Northeast Kansas compete.




The Onaga High School basketball teams came out and played hard but lost a battle against the Blue Valley Rams last night. The teams continue tournament play today at 6 p.m and tomorrow starting at 1 p.m.



If you can’t make it to the boys and girls high school basketball games tonight in Blue Valley, come support our music program! Kindergarten through Third Grade has a Christmas themed music concert at 6:30 tonight. Hope to see you there!


KRR After School Program for grades K-3 last day for this semester is December 12. We will resume on January 6 after the break.

The 5-12 grade band and the 7-12 grade choir concert was held on Thursday, November 26. Ms. Fitzjarrald did a great job putting together the concert and the students performed well. Nicely done Buffaloes!


Onaga Elementary 2nd Graders have been learning about the history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. As a finale of their lesson, students made balloon floats for their own parade last Tuesday, with a parade route starting by the kindergarten room and ending at the library.


Junior high boys and girls basketball teams defeated St. Xavier in all 3 games this evening. Well done!

Winter Sport Scrimmages for Onaga High will take place on Tuesday, December 2. At 5:30 p.m. girls basketball with Head Coach Ryan Noel will start the evening of play in the North gym and wrestling with Head Coach Chris Niehues in the South gym. At approximately 6:30 p.m. Head Coach Chase Sperber and the Onaga High boys basketball team will take the floor in the North gym.
