Happy Holidays!
The 8th Grade had success with their technical reading assignment. Let it snow (colorful snowflakes!)

On the new version of the school's website, usd322.org, we have added orange "buttons" to the home page. These are located right below the photos that are on the home page and are direct links to the most visited pages and sites within our website. The NFHS livestream of athletics events, PowerSchool, the school calendar, and a link to request assistance with technology support from our technology experts at the school can all be accessed simply by clicking on those orange buttons on the home page.
In addition to those four buttons, we have added a fifth today. In order to prevent confusion and speculation during these unprecedented times, we have added a direct link to a document that will show the number of active Covid cases within USD 322. The document is divided into four categories: Pre-K through 6th grade, 7th-12th grades, K-12th grade teachers as a whole, and K-12th grade classified staff.
The count will be updated every day that school is in session and can be accessed by simply clicking on the orange button titled "Daily Covid Count" on the home page.

Congratulations to Landon Koelling! The freshman wrestler started off his high school wrestling career with a bang. In his first ever high school action, Landon won all five of his matches at the Onaga Invitational on Saturday, pinning all five of his opponents. He finished second in the Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament voting which is determined by coaches and referees at the tournament. The future looks bright for this young grappler. Nice job Landon, keep up the hard work!

Tonight the junior high basketball teams are at home for the final time in 2020 as they host Wetmore. The games will start at 5:30pm tonight, a change from the original schedule. All games will take place in the north gym with the B-team girls and then boys each playing a half. Then the A-team girls and boys will follow.
All games will air on the NFHS Network, a link for which can be found at the top of the school website or on the permanent tab on the website's homepage. Team rosters can also be found on the school website under the "Athletics" tab.
Good luck to both teams and GO BUFFALOES!!!

Every basketball player wants to be great, but being great at basketball doesn't come easily. It takes work. A lot of work. Work that's done on your own when no one is watching. Onaga senior Chloe Fischer sure seems to understand that. She was at Sunday night shootaround this evening and wanted to work on her shot from the high post. She got the shooting machine out, set it up to alternate between three spots along the free throw line, and went to work. All by herself in the south gym, 654 shots. Oh and that took less than 30 minutes. She was in the gym working on a variety of things for two hours. Keep up the hard work Chloe!

This Sunday night the junior high boys and the high school girls basketball teams will have open gym starting at 6:00pm. This will take place every Sunday through the end of basketball season, with the exception of holiday limitations. In that situation, the teams will be notified prior that the gym won't be open. Coach Kufahl and Coach Boswell will be supervising and hope to see you all there!

Saturday morning will mark the season opener for the Onaga High School wrestling team as it hosts the school's annual invitational wrestling tournament. Action is set to get underway at 9:30am in the north gym. Fans are not allowed at the meet, but you can catch all of the action live on the NFHS Network. A link to the live feed is at the top of the usd322.org website.
Good luck wrestlers and GO BUFFALOES!!!

There has been a change to the junior high basketball schedule for tonight's games against Doniphan West. There will be no B-team boys game this evening. The B-team girls will start things off at 4:30pm and will play a full game. The A-team girls will follow, and then the A-team boys will be the final game.
Also, the games will be played in Highland at the high school gym. This is a change from previous junior high football and basketball games at Doniphan West, which were played in Denton.
Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we navigate these ever changing times. Good luck to the junior high teams tonight and GO BUFFALOES!!!

The elementary music concert will be recorded during class tomorrow (Friday December 11th). All recordings will be uploaded to the school website for parents to view.

The junior basketball teams are back in action tonight as they head on the road to take on Doniphan West. The games will take place in Denton and begin at 4:00 with the B-team girls game. Both the girls and boys B-team games will only be two quarters. That will be followed by the A-team girls, then the A-team boys.
Starting tonight, KSHSAA is going to again allow two adults per athlete at sporting events. In the case of there being two athletes from the same family participating, KSHSAA is still only allowing two adults total. But even though there will be fans in the stands tonight, if you aren't able to make the game you can still catch all of the action on the NFHS Network at the link below.
Good luck to all of the teams and GO BUFFALOES!!!

In an effort to create a more user-friendly website and to make it easier to find the resources you need, we have been working on creating a new version of the school website, usd322.org. After months of preparation, that new version went live at 2:30pm this afternoon.
We hope that as you check it out and search the new features that you will find it to be a great resource for students, parents, and the community in general.
Please be aware, however, that following the switch, the website may show an "unsafe website" message when first opened . This is normal and will stop showing up after 24-48 hours. In the meantime, it is completely safe to continue past this message and will not cause a problem for your phone or computer.
Thank you and GO BUFFALOES!

We are waiting on a part to arrive that is believed to be the key in fixing the broadcast basketball games so that the score is visible to our fans. Hopefully we can get it installed before the games tonight and it will fix the problem. If it doesn't get installed, Mr. Kufahl will be announcing at the games tonight and will give frequent updates on the current score of the game. Thank you for your patience and support of our basketball teams- GO BUFFS!
