Please consider purchasing one of the great looking t-shirts they are selling to improve your Onaga wardrobe, while also helping out a great organization that gives back so much to our kids! Amidst the chaos that the beginning of the school year brings, we missed an opportunity to congratulate Maria Krohn. But congratulations is well deserved, as Maria finished this summer's weightlifting program with perfect attendance! While many came close to perfect attendance in both the first 5-week session, and the second 4-week session that followed the 4th of July break, Maria completed the challenge in both! Maria's commitment and drive for excellence has paid off, as she currently holds the school's records in all three of the major lifts; bench press, squat, and power clean.....and she's only beginning her junior year! Her hard work in the weight room and in sport-specific work she does outside of regular practices have paid dividends in all three of the sports she participates in and excels at. Congratulations again Maria, keep up the hard work! GO BUFFALOES!!!

Before school started, the FFA officers and sponsor Mr. Figge visited Locked and participated in an escape room experience. While they weren't able to escape in the allotted time, they learned a lot about each other and how to work together which will pay dividends in their leadership of the FFA this year!

Tuesday night is the fall parent meeting for high school sports. Unlike in the past, these meetings are not required for parents to attend. The main difference is that the Appendix C form that needed to be filled out at the meeting was sent out in the enrollment packets that parents received. This still needs to be completed before your student-athlete will be allowed to compete in their respective sport, but will not be handed out at the parent meeting like in the past. It is still strongly recommended that parents who have never attended the meeting for their child's respective sport do so this evening as there is information from the coaches that is necessary for parents. Also, your child's respective coach may require a parent signature on team rules before they can compete. While this can be done outside of the actual meeting, the opportunity for explanation of those rules and asking any questions about them comes at that meeting. Here are the times and locations of meetings this evening: Cross Country: 5:00pm in the commons area Football: 6:00pm outside, on the east side of the north gym (in the shade) Volleyball: 6:00pm in the weight room
