JAMBOREE CHANGE
Due to late, unavoidable schedule conflicts, the Jamboree participants have changed. The game will now be held at Alma-Wabaunsee. The game will begin at 7pm.
Reminder, school pictures and fall sports pictures will be taken tomorrow, August 23rd! School pictures will take place throughout the school day, while sports pictures will begin 5th block for middle school and after school for the high school teams.

USD 322 Families:
With the extreme heat this week, we are advising families who can, to come pick up their students after school rather than ride the bus. We plan to take extra precautions this week related to heat and wellness, including for those who need to ride the bus. Please encourage your child to stay hydrated and communicate with their bus driver if they do not feel well. We encourage all students to bring a water bottle this week. Please communicate any transportation changes with the office. Stay alert and safe!

FB practice inside the school from 2:02-3:30.

Holton Parks and Rec flag football forms were sent home yesterday. If your child is interested in playing this fall, please return those forms to Tina in the elementary office by Tuesday, August 22nd.
Temps are rising and practices are getting warm. Luckily, we have the immersion tanks out and the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature device. This device takes into account ambient temperature, humidity, wind speed, sun angle, direct sunlight, and cloud cover. WBGT provides vital information for schools to use in helping school administration to determine if conditions are appropriate to hold activity programs during hot weather. USD 322 holds safety as a high priority!
The school year has officially begun and that means that school pictures are right around the corner! School pictures will be taken next Wednesday, August 23rd, throughout the school day beginning that morning. Fall sports pictures will also be taken later that afternoon with middle school sports taking place during 5th block, and high school sports right after school.
Athletes, with temperatures on the rise again...practice times might change. Connect with your coaches when in doubt.
Today is the last day to order your 2023-2024 junior high athletics apparel. Orders must be placed by midnight tonight, and you can find a link both at the bottom of this message and on the district website at the top of the homepage.

Miss Chelsey Figge joins USD 322 as the new 8th-12th Agriculture and Biology Teacher. She previously taught at Russell High School for 4 years and Substituted at Onaga Schools last year. In addition to teaching, she held various positions as an FFA Advisor and Concessions Manager.
Miss Figge graduated from Onaga High School in 2014, Allen County Community College in 2015, and Kansas State University in 2018. Throughout her college career, she participated in Livestock Judging Team, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Ag Ed Club and Collegiate Cattle Women. She and her fiance, Matt Rahjes (Welder at Caterpillar), live in Onaga.
Miss Figge (soon to be Mrs. Figge-Rahjes in November) is very excited to officially join the Onaga Buffalo Herd!
