Tonight, nine 8th graders say goodbye to junior high basketball, as they head to Frankfort for the final night of the OTL tournament. The Buffaloes came in as the #4 seed in the tournament and will be taking on #2 seeded Doniphan West tonight in the 3rd/4th place game. Tipoff is set for 7:15pm in the secondary gym.

It's a full day of basketball today as the high school gets set to host Hanover, and the junior high boys head to Frankfort for the semifinals of the OTL Tournament.
The high school will get things going at 4:45pm this afternoon in Onaga with the JV girls in the north gym. At 6:00pm, the varsity girls will tipoff in the north gym and the JV boys will play in the south gym. Then the varsity boys will play the nightcap in the north gym.
The junior high boys will look to punch their ticket to the OTL championship game tonight, as they head to Frankfort for a 7:15pm tip against Centralia. The Buffaloes are the #4 seed in the postseason tournament and are coming off of a 45-20 win over Sts. Peter & Paul on Saturday. The Panthers are the #1 seed and had a first round bye. The two teams will square off in the primary gym tonight with a trip to the championship game on Thursday on the line.

The OTL basketball tournament wraps up this week, high school basketball continues league play, and the high school wrestling team celebrates senior night on Friday. Here are the activities for the week!
The junior high boys got their postseason league tournament off to great start, knocking off #5 seed Sts. Peter & Paul this morning 45-20. They now move on to the semifinals, where they will take on #1 seeded Centralia. Tipoff is set for 7:15pm on Monday, January 29th, at Frankfort.

The OTL tournament begins today, and the boys and girls are both playing first round games in Frankfort. The girls enter the tournament as the #7 seed and will take on #2 seeded Centralia at 10:00am in the secondary gym's first game of the day. After they are done, the boys will hit the court at 11:15am. They enter as the #4 seed and will be taking on #5 seeded Sts. Peter & Paul.

With Winter Royalty taking place tonight at the basketball games, the all students celebrated "Spirit Week" this week with a different theme for each day. Yesterday was "Teacher Day," where students dressed up like their favorite staff members. There were some pretty spot on outfits!
Winter Royalty is here, as the Buffaloes get set to host Linn tonight in a TVL matchup. All games will be played in the north gym, with JV boys getting things started at 4:45pm. Varsity girls will follow at 6:00pm, and varsity boys will cap off the night.
After the basketball has ended, the crowning of our King and Queen will take place in the north gym as well.

The high school spirit squad would like to invite all PreK through 6th graders to join them for their kids cheer clinic on February 10th. The kids will learn a halftime dance routine and two cheers, then perform them on February 13th at halftime of the boys varsity basketball game!

The high school basketball game that was scheduled to be played yesterday at Frankfort has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, January 24th. JV begins at 4:45pm.
Every year, juniors and seniors at Onaga High School have the opportunity to attend classes at Highland Community College in Baileyville to get an early start on certification in a variety of potential careers.
This morning, Mrs. McNally took the sophomores to Baileyville to spend the morning touring the Western Center of HCC. They were able to see all the programs that HCC offers and now can make plans to attend as juniors if they are interested.

The high school wrestling team is in action this weekend for the first time in two weeks, after weather cancelled their last tournament. They are back on the mat today in Council Grove for the boys invitational that began this afternoon, then tomorrow will head back to Council Grove for their girls invitational which begins at 9:00am.

USD 322: Winter weather is again impacting our roads. Currently, USD 322 will have a two-hour delay on Friday, which means NO AM or PM PreK Classes. Bus Pick-Up Points are currently planned for 9:00-9:30am. We are also tracking overnight drifting, temp, and wind-chill values. Please watch for potential changes in the morning.
The junior high boys pulled off a big league win over Sts. Peter & Paul tonight, beating the Trojans by 25! The Buffaloes have just one regular season game remaining, as they head to Centralia next Thursday to take on the Panthers.
