Today is a special day for senior Bridgett Campbell, as she plans to sign her national Letter of Intent this afternoon to play softball at Neosho Community College next fall.
Bridgett was a 2nd Team All-State selection last year as a junior when she helped lead the Buffaloes to a 3rd place finish at the state tournament. As a pitcher, she went 7-2 on the season with a 2.23 ERA while striking out 90 batters in 59.2 innings pitched. At the plate, she was second on the team in batting average, on base percentage, and slugging.
Next fall, she'll join a Neosho team that went 37-14 last season, finishing second in the conference, ranked #19 in the nation, and are coached by the reigning Jayhawk Conference DII Coach of the Year. She plans to major in Athletic Training, with the ultimate goal being to get a degree in Occupational Therapy.
Congratulations on this great accomplishment Bridgett! We look forward to watching the great things you'll do this upcoming softball season at Onaga, as well as next fall in Neosho!
