We are conducting an MRA survey to learn more about key areas of strength and areas of needed growth in our school. The data from this survey will also help us track the impacts of the Leader in Me process and implement key practices more fully. In order for us to have a holistic picture of what is going on in our school, we are asking all full-time staff members, parents/guardians, and students in Grade 4 and up to participate. Parent Participation If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete a survey (without sharing your name or other identifying information) that will be available through a Web link below. The survey is completely voluntary, but we do hope to get feedback from one member of every household. The parent/guardian survey takes about 12 minutes to complete and will ask questions about your child and about his or her experience in our school. If you have more than one child attending the school, you will be asked to think about the oldest child’s experiences as you answer questions related to his or her growth. Good morning! This week, parent/teacher conference slips were sent home with one student in each family. Please fill them out and return the slips by tomorrow, Friday, February 21. Slips can be turned in to the offices. Thank you!

If you have a student in need of a prom tux, please go to the link, https://5il.co/d3bu . Seneca Variety will be here at OHS on Tuesday, Feb 25 at 3:00 for students to rent a tux. They will deliver the tuxes to OHS, but you must return the tux on Sunday after prom to them.

Admission to the Onaga vs Frankfort games tonight is free! The Frankfort Caring Community Foundation will be paying for everyone this evening. There will also be a Mexican Supper from 5:00-7:30 in the Frankfort High School Cafeteria.
Onaga Basketball will travel to Frankfort today. In the main gym, there will be 1/2 a JV Girls game played at 5:00 with the V Girls and V Boys to follow. At 5:45 there will be a full JV Boys game in the other gym.
Morgan Mayginnes took 1st at regional wrestling today with dominant performances on both days. Good luck at state, Morgan! We are proud of you!
February 14th is Valentines day! Our Elementary students decorated their bulletin boards outside their classrooms. Make sure and check all the elementary bulletin boards each season when you have a chance.

OHS will host a C Team Boys Basketball Tournament here tomorrow, Saturday, February 15 starting at 10:00. There will be no gate fee, only a free will donation (this will help to pay for the officials fees).
Happy Valentine’s Day! There have been a number of students out of school for health reasons, so please keep in mind to wash your hands frequently and stick to healthy habits. Spread love, not the flu, this Valentine’s season.

Onaga High basketball teams will be playing Clifton-Clyde on Friday, February 14, 2020. Games will be played in Clyde in one gym with the following schedule: 4:00 p.m. 1/2 JV girls, Full JV boys 6:00 p.m. Varsity girls, Varsity boys.
Due to the weather, Onaga Schools will start two hours later tomorrow, Thursday, February 13th. No breakfast will be served.
Junior High Dance for 7th & 8th graders on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 6:30pm-8:45pm in the Multi-Purpose room. The theme is VSCO, there will be pizza and pop provided. Eligibility does apply.
Last Friday the Onaga Wrestling Jamboree meet was held. Our wrestlers gave it their all and showed their skills. Good luck to the boys at their next meet in Chase County. Also, good luck to Morgan Mayginnes as she wrestles at Girl’s Regionals this Saturday in McPherson.




OHS Basketball teams will take on Doniphan West on Tuesday, 2/11/20. At 4:45 JV Girls will play 1/2 a game followed by 1/2 a JV Boys game. Varsity Girls will start at 6:00 followed by the Varsity Boys. Come out and support the Buffs at their last home game of the season!
On Jan. 31, Onaga High School had a pep rally for Winter Royalty. The Winter Royalty candidates competed against each other in 3 events. In this photo the candidates wore panty hose on their heads with a tennis ball tucked in the toe and the first team who knocked all the cups down won.

OHS SR Parents Recognition will take place this Friday evening. We will recognize senior wrestlers and their parents following round 2 of the wrestling meet. The basketball & cheerleader seniors and parents will be recognized at half time of the varsity boys game. Go Buffs!
Every year, two Seniors are voted King and Queen by the High School Students. Last Friday, at halftime of the Boys Basketball game, Trenton Cott and Morgan Mayginnes were crowned as this year’s King and Queen. Congratulations!
