
Happy New Year! Instead of a new year’s resolution, student’s in Business and Media classes have each selected “ONE Word” for 2020 to help focus on improving a specific life skill.


The Onaga Wrestling Team competed last Saturday in Marysville for their first meet of the decade. They participated in a highly competitive meet with 12 teams and over 100 wrestlers. Congratulations to our team and to Rilyn Mayginnes and Vincent Lara for both placing 4th.



Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader during the Civil Rights Movement. Martin Luther King Jr. gave a speech that is called the “I Have A Dream” speech. The now famous speech was given in Washington in March of 1963. His dream was that all people could live as one.


Last Thursday our Onaga High School basketball teams competed against the Valley Heights Mustangs. Both boys and girls lost their games but, the scores don’t matter as much as the effort our athletes give towards competing and how they keep improving throughout the season.

Correction on the Location 3 pick up/drop off site for tomorrow: Location 3 will be at the intersection of Crevecoeur Road & Onaga Road (west side).

Due to the icy road conditions on the country roads, there will be no door to door bus routes Tuesday, January 21st. This will be for both the MORNING and AFTERNOON routes. Please see the photo for the 4 pick up and drop off locations and times.


The mini spelling bee will start at 12:30 on Tuesday, January 21, with the regular spelling bee to immediately follow. Thank you.

Onaga High Wrestling meet at Marysville on Saturday, January 18 has changed the start time to 10:00 a.m. Departure time for athletes and coach will be 6:30 a.m. from Onaga High school.

Due to the impending weather coming, Onaga Schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 17th. All activities will be rescheduled.

Unless school is cancelled, the 1st through 3rd grade students are competing in the annual spelling bee tomorrow, January 17, at 8:30 a.m. This is an opportunity to see our students put their skills to the test, so join us in the auditorium.

Our Spirit Squad worked hard to bring a new dance to the audience that attended the home basketball game against Axtell on January 7. The Spirit Squad is working diligently to bring fresh content to audiences, such as the upcoming Cheer Clinic being performed on January 28th.

The USD 322 regular Board of Education meeting is rescheduled for Wednesday, January 15th @ 6:00pm.

Due to ice, Onaga Schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 13th. All activities on the calendar for tomorrow night will be rescheduled.
