Following the March 2025 Community Meeting, survey results showed strong community support for exploring options to improve the elementary building and other district facilities. In response, the Board of Education initiated a process to engage professional guidance in identifying priorities and potential solutions. After reviewing applications and conducting interviews, the district selected SPT Architecture to partner in this important planning effort.
To ensure broad community input, a Facility Steering Committee was formed, consisting of district patrons and stakeholders invited to provide feedback and gather input from others throughout the community. Additional community members and staff have also participated in the committee’s monthly meetings over the past several months. The group has evaluated a range of facility options, prioritized needs, and discussed potential budget considerations.
Once a recommended direction has been established, the district will host community meetings to share information and gather additional feedback. Agendas and minutes from the Facility Steering Committee meetings are available at www.usd322.org under the Facility Planning link. The next facility steering meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15th at 6pm in the high school commons. The district appreciates the time, insight, and feedback that committee members have provided throughout this process.
