Cathy Marten


Cathy Marten received her B.S. in Elem. Ed. from KSU in 1984. Cathy started out at Onaga Schools as a Librarian Aide in 1989 at which time she went back to college to earn her Masters Degree in Library Media. In 1990 she taught 2nd grade at OGS. In the fall of 1991 she became the District Librarian for USD #322. She earned her Masters Degree in Curriculum from KSU in 1993. She has been the District Librarian since that time. In 2004 Cathy started teaching Reading in the Jr. High. In 2010 she received her licenses in Public Speaking and started to teach this class as a duel credit at the High School. In 2012 she started teaching Freshman English and English 4 at the High School, and at the start of the 2014 school year, added a class in Short Stories to her High School schedule.
Cathy has been a resident of Onaga for 31 years. She and her husband, David, have four children, Christina, David II, Antonia and Joseph. They also have 3 grandchildren, Allie, Aaron and Mya.
