OEA Announces Scholarship Available
The Onaga Educators Association will be awarding a $300.00 scholarship to an eligible Onaga High School graduating Senior, pursuing higher education through a college/university based program. The graduating Senior must have a 3.00 grade point average and must be involved in community service projects as well as school service and activities. A preference will be given to a qualified applicant entering the field of education; however, the scholarship is not limited to the field of education.
Applications are available through the Onaga High school counselor’s office or through the OEA Scholarship chairperson, Debbie Berges, at the Onaga Elementary counselor’s office.
Deadline for submitting the application to Onaga High School counselor is April 6, 2010. The recipient of the scholarship will be announced at OHS graduation ceremonies on May 16, 2010.
Previous recipients of the OEA Scholarship have been Cody Zabel and Katrina Abitz.
