The Onaga High School Chess Team finishes fourth:

The Onaga High School Chess team traveled to the Lawrence High School invitational chess team on Saturday, February 13^th and finished 4^th .

Team scores were: (1^st) Rockhurst (6A) 22.0   (2^nd) Lawrence High (6A) 13.5, (3^rd) Washburn Rural (6A) 13.0  (4^th) Onaga High (2A) 11.0 (5^th) Gardner/Edgerton (5A) 8.5  (6^th) Lawrence Free State (6A) 7.0

And Blue Valley (6A) 5.0   Onaga’s  John Gronewoller finished 15^th as a medal winner. Others placing were Zac Parr, Jessica Parr, John Handley, Jordan Reisinger, Gage Cress, Adam Gudenkauf, Eric Gudenkauf, and Ian McCormick.  Joey Willoughby was the lone entry for the Onaga Junior High and finished in 41^st.  Onaga’s next meet is at Lawrence Free State on March 6^th:
